Tayuan DRC Basketball Friendly

To provide more diversity for the after-work life of the international diplomatic community and promote Property Management-Tenant exchange, Tayuan DRC Property Management organized the Tayuan DRC Basketball Friendly Tournament, together with the Bank of China E-Community App Promotion, on 9 September 2017. 8 teams signed into the tournament, including those from the embassies of Fiji, Kazakhstan, Samoa, Papua New Guinea, Micronesia and Tonga, among others. The ambassadors of Fiji and Micronesia led their teams to take part in the competition, respectively, to cheer up. 

The basketball players, coaches and tournament staff as well as spectators from the DRC dwellers arrived at the scene at about 3 pm., all anticipating a thrilling game. Ren Guanghui, the Property Management director, delivered the opening speech to welcome the competitors and spectators, saying, “It is my great pleasure to see everybody at the DRC on this weekend day. I would like to thank the embassy teams for their coming. The tournament is organized to enhance exchange between the diplomatic missions by breaking up boundaries between countries and regions to offer a chance of cultural exchange. From September to December 2017, the Property Management, on the basis of the DRC Year of Traditional Chinese Culture, is going to organize more fun events, such as games of Taiji (Shadow Boxing) and Mahjong. It is our hope to build the Tayuan DRC into an international community of cultural interaction, harmony and common progress through our efforts. I would like to wish this tournament a complete success!” 

The tournament was launched off as the referee blew the whistle. The match between the Kazakhstani embassy and Tonga embassy brought about numerous highlights and drew incessant cheers from the spectators. The Micronesian team was proved the strongest, as always, as they dominated the game from the beginning to the end whilst team Vanuatu put on a tough and resilient show. Teams Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Samoa, sharing similar clouts, also fought impressively with snatches, breakouts, offenses and 3-pointers. The Fijian ambassador played the role of point guard and gave everything to win. The spectators cheered and applauded the players passionately for each smart act, move, ambush and shot. Team Micronesia won the championship with successful bouts through the group spat, quarter final, semi-final and final. 

The Property Management employees took every opportunity to promote the Bank of China E-Community App to the participants and spectators, from the signing in to the end of the matches, and inquired about the subscribers’ comments. 

As the only health service institution in the DRC Affiliated Business Association, the Guo Yi Hui Traditional Chinese Medicine Service was put in charge of first-aid for the tournament whilst its specialists offered health care consultation and advices to the players, spectators and their families. 

In the autumn breeze of Beijing, the competitors permeated positive energy with vigor and skills to enhance community cordiality. Before the end of the year, the Property Management will organize more fun activities for the tenants to boost Property Management-Resident geniality and friendship.
