In Beijing, the month of May is a time of warmth and awakening, neither too hot nor stiflingly humid. Together with the Language and Culture Center (LCC) for Diplomatic Missions, the Jindao DRC presented a one month-long Chinese language tutorial free of charge for the tenants. The announcement for the event was released both online and offline, the former way of application being available for the first time. On the same day the announcement was published, tenants swarmed in for information and many applied on the spot after downloading the Bank of China E-Community App. The new approach aroused wider attention of the tenants for the Bank of China App, offering them a brand new experience. As a large number of applicants from various age groups came in, the Property Management particularly assigned customer service staff to give assistance to the tutor to keep the classroom in good order and create a better ambiance for better outcomes.
A very experienced teacher from the LCC took the helm of the class, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for a greater participation of the learners. In addition to the textbook contents, the classroom was made animate with interactions for improved comprehension. Basing on the DRC features, the Property Management made a PPT document on the daily safety issues for the learners whilst they acquired basics of the Chinese language and practiced useful daily phrases. Today, many of the pupils are capable of communicating in simple language and their passion in learning has given us a great deal of satisfaction.
Language is a crucial part of a culture, as
they survive and thrive side by side. Since the Property Management has
launched free Chinese language lessons, the number of applicants has been
growing year by year. Due to the limited classroom space, those who were unable
to sign up to the latest tutorial inquired when the next would be offered, as
it provides a chance for the tenants to learn about the Chinese culture and
helps building a bridge of communication between the customers and the Property
Management.
