Tayuan DRC Staff Visits Traditional Chinese Medicine Institution

Having launched the Year of Traditional
Chinese Culture in 2017, the Tayuan DRC Property Management Department is
making all efforts in organizing a series of customer outreach events themed
around traditional Chinese culture and the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)
in particular. To learn more about the basics of traditional medicine and
better promote it to foreign tenants, a 15-member team of the Property
Management Department visited the Guoyihui Traditional Chinese Medicine Center
(Guoyihui) and exchange views with Guoyihui staff, on the afternoon of 10 March,
2017.
Located at No. 16 Liangmahe Nanlu, Guoyihui
is a traditional Chinese medicine service provider which conducts research, offers
medicine and health services, and is a demonstration center designated by the
International Exchange Center of the State Administration of Traditional
Chinese Medicine and WHO Collaborating Centres for Traditional Medicine. Being
a member of the DRC Business Tenant Alliance, Guoyihui is an important and high-quality
customer of the DRC.
Ms. Zhang Hailan, Guoyihui’s Chairperson,
opened the meeting by giving a warm welcome to the DRC visitors and briefed
them on the background, concept of service, main services and future
development prospect of the institution. She recalled that since Guoyihui entered
the DRC, it had always actively taken part in BDS-DRC organized customer
outreach activities for the diplomatic missions to promote traditional Chinese
medicine
Mr. Ren Guanghui, Manager of the DRC
Property Management Department, said that he and his colleagues were more than
pleased to have Guoyihui in the Tayuan DRC. The Tayuan DRC has the largest
number of traditional foreign tenants, which ranks No.1 of all the 5 DRCs in
Beijing. Senior diplomats from all over the world could be found in there. With
the continuous increase of Chinese medicine’s influence in the world, foreign
residents’ understanding of traditional Chinese medicine is on the rise with
time. The DRC Property Management Department would make itself into a goodwill emissary
aiming to promote traditional medicine through organizing events of the Year of
Traditional Chinese Culture. The two sides then conducted in-depth exchanges of
views on details regarding customer outreach activities and special treats for
the DRC residents.
After the meeting, the visitors toured the
Traditional Medicine Pharmacy, Biomedicine Experience Center, International
Healthy Sleep Center, Disease Prevention Center, Acupuncture Center and
Anti-aging Center under the guidance of the Guoyihui staff. In the aroma of a
wide variety of herbs in the Pharmacy, all kinds of advanced, the visitors were
impressed by the world-class hi-tech equipment in the Centers, such as the micro-cloud
spinal pressure tester, vascular endothelium cell detection system, and the data
bank. The combination of instrument testing and traditional medicine therapies
is a perfect mix of Western and Chinese expertise to safeguard public health.
When marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of the China Traditional Medicine Academy,
President Xi Jinping declared, “The traditional medicine is part of our more
than 5,000-year-old cultural heritage. It is a treasure of ancient science and
key to opening the vault of Chinese civilization.” The visit offered the DRC
Property Management Department staff firsthand information and a comprehensive
understanding of the traditional medicine and laid a good foundation for the
upcoming customer outreach events. It is believed that the upcoming Chinese
Medicine Experience Day and Tour of Traditional Chinese Companies will definitely
arouse strong interest of the diplomatic tenants in the traditional Chinese
medicine and help the TCM to bloom in the world.
