Jianwai Media Center Provides Assistance in Organizing Samoan Embassy’s Dinner Banquet

The Jianwai Media Center provided service to assist the Samoan Embassy in organizing a dinner banquet on 5 November, following the successful Music Salon series on 28 September. Some 50 guests from the Embassy and a high-level visiting economic and trade delegation of Samoa attended the event. 

The Embassy employees and delegation members arrived at the Media Center at about 4 p.m. and the event was opened with a Samoan folk dance performance. The Samoan Ambassador took to the stage to play the piano and sang folk songs. Very impressed with the banquet hall’s grandeur and magnificence, the participants used their mobile phones to take pictures to mark the occasion. 

Having established close relations with this Department, Mr. Tapusalaia Toomata, the Ambassador, and his family have become our intimate friends and passionate patrons since they experienced the venue’s ambiance and services during the Music Salon Series in September. On 31 October, the Embassy informed us that a high-ranking economic and trade delegation was about to visit China and the Ambassador wanted to treat them to a dinner banquet on 5 November. To ensure the success of the event, we communicated with the Embassy and suggested that it should take place in the Media Center and the Embassy readily agreed. Meticulous preparations were made to ensure the cleanness, security and functioning of the banquet hall, and all equipment and facilities as well as parking space underwent repeated checks and rechecks. The staff in the central control room kept a close watch on the hall to make sure everything went smoothly. Thanks to the joint efforts of all related sections, the dinner banquet was a complete success. 

Our staff’s considerate services and attitude won acclaim from the Embassy and the Ambassador’s smile filled us with tremendous pride.

The success of the banquet is one more chance to showcase the advantages of the Media Center’s excellent services and further improve our conferencing service competencies, which brought economic benefits and demonstrated the importance of “Serving the diplomatic corps and China’s diplomatic cause”.
