Halloween Party for Tayuan DRC Tenants

Waves of laughter broke out from the Function Room of Tayuan DRC in the early winter wind as night was about to descend at 5 pm., 31 October, 2016, and the curtain to the Tayuan DRC Halloween Party 2016 was lifted.

Costumed children from about a dozen countries, including the United States, Canada, Germany, Pakistan, Kazakhstan and Cape Verde, among others, dressed up as spider man, little fairies or witches, filled the auditorium, flocking around the DRC staff waiting for their faces to be painted. Some strutted down the catwalk to showcase their special attires, some gathered in small groups to discuss their tactics to get the largest number of treats and some already started tasting the gourmet food in front of the food stations.

When hearing “Tricks or Treats”, the kids rushed out of the door, hunting for their booties, to the Customer Service Office, Florist’s and Coffee House, and later the apartment buildings where they received treats with the blessings and smiles. As darkness finally swallowed up the compound, the clamor was slowly replaced by tranquility.

Thanks to the excellent preparations, the success of the party was assured by the posters and invitations to the tenants which were in advance placed in the elevators, pumpkin lanterns in the auditorium inviting voluntary participation by the tenants and showcased the HSC motto of “Respect”. Taking advantage of the commercial resources of the DRC shop owners, only by means of close collaboration were we able to deliver the tenants with such a delightful experience. 

Drawing on both the Chinese and western traditions, the DRC Property Management Department has organized parties to celebrate the Moon Festival and Halloween this year, aiming to enhance the DRC cultural exchanges and boost customer satisfaction.
