Media Center Showcase: MFA Junior Officials Visit Jianwai DRC

Along with the completion of the interior decorations of the Jianwai Media Center, the venue’s cultural ambiance has taken shape. For better promotion and publicity, with help from senior BSB and HSC executives as well as the Youth League Committee (YLC) and taking the opportunity of a MFA junior official study tour, the BSB YLC organized a visit to the Media Center on 9 September, participated by some 50 people from the MFA and BSB Youth League organizations. The carefully planned and arranged tour offered the visitors some insight to the Media Center to their high acclaims. 

The visitors were greeted as they gathered in front of the Media Center. Zhang Xinhua began by briefing them on the purpose and program of the tour, which was followed by a short introduction to the Media Center and affiliating businesses, delivered by Zhou Yong, the Media Home manager. Following the tour guiding DRC employees, the visitors went to the Canadian International Kindergarten, fitness center, China Telecom store and gigantic mural and “Wall of Butterflies” in the atrium. The detailed presentation and tour left a deep impression on the junior officials who expressed their appreciation for the BSB and HSC developments.

After exiting the Media Center, the visitors came into the DRC compound, being amazed at the Central Square and landscaping sights, particularly impressed by the DRC quietness in the middle of downtown clamor, and DRC’s homelike market niche and service concept. They were then shown into the Function Room where they were introduced to more about the DRC and Media Center with a PPT presentation and promotional brochures. 

Next, the visitors were offered a lecture on wine appreciation delivered by the Duty Free Shop staff, savoring fine wine together the related culture for greater understanding and amity. They took group photos in front of the giant mural and it brought the tour to a perfect ending. 

Basing on the BSB YLC requirements, a preview-tour was organized for the YLC official to plan the details and route to ensure the success of the event. To make the preparations perfect, the Media Home Group communicated with the shop owners to provide them with the necessary information; the Security Group made special advance arrangements for the parking lots along the route; the Cleaning Group paid special attention to the cleanness of the areas; and the Maintenance Group conducted advance checkups on the equipment and facilities. The venue was arranged and set up two days in advance and a dressed rehearsal was carried out one day beforehand. During the rehearsal, it was decided the venue was to be rearranged, which was all accomplished in merely 30 minutes. This Department’s employees’ meticulous and efficient efforts and team work ensured the total success of the event, which received the visitors’ high acclaims.
