Dedicated to Doing a Better Job: PR & Sales Dept. Offers Conferencing Service to Tajikistani National Day Reception

The national day reception of the embassy of Tajikistan was held at the Function Room of the Liangmaqiao Diplomatic Office Building in the evening of 9 September 2016, participated by Liu Haixing, assistant minister of foreign affairs, and ambassadors and senior diplomats from numerous countries. Lin Li, deputy general manager of HSC, also took part in the celebration. 

Under the encouragement and support of top BSB and HSC executives, the PR & Sales Department has offered conferencing service for a number of important occasions, such as the inauguration ceremony of the new secretary general of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, UNESCO seminar and opening ceremony of the China-Africa Journalists Exchange Center. Boosting conferencing service has been the top priority of this Department in 2016 and the new venture has received unreserved support from the BSB and HSC leadership, who made tremendous efforts in promoting the new DRC value added service to the foreign embassies in Beijing. Having taken Liangmaqiao DRC Section A as their office premises, the embassy of Tajikistan is a valued customer. When it was learned that the embassy was going to hold the national day reception in September as the HSC executive was paying a call to the ambassador, it was suggested that the event could take place in the DRC and we seize the chance and keep in close contact with the embassy, which eventually resulted in the reception happening in the DRC Function Room. 

Despite limited budget and demanding requirements, under the guidance of the HSC leadership and following the principle of putting political benefit ahead of the rest, this Department offered assistance to the embassy in the event planning for a starter. After a number of rounds of discussion, speedy solutions were found to meet all the requirements and it helped the embassy eventually decide to hold the reception in the DRC. Through ceaseless efforts, this Department provided full satisfaction to the embassy with quality and tasty catering, well designed and finely made rear panel, meticulously organized and prepared details to ensure the success of the event. 

Miss Lin Li took advantage of the occasion to have cordial conversations with the ambassadors from Kazakhstan and Uruguay and other senior diplomats who expressed the wish to deepen cooperation with the DRC. When the reception drew to a close, the Tajikistani ambassador said that it was first time he had held national day reception in Beijing since coming to the office. With HSC’s full support, the event was a complete success, thanks to the top-line equipment and facilities in the Liangmaqiao DRC and outstanding sales and supporting services. He added that all future receptions of the embassy would be held in the DRC and he would tell his friends in the diplomatic corps about his choice. 

The success of the reception is not only politically but also economically beneficial for boosting our self-confidence. This Department will make even greater endeavors in promoting the Liangmaqiao and Jianwai DRCs’ conferencing service to further enhance the DRC brand name.
