Enjoy Soccer Game and Strengthen Ties: Top HSC Executive Watches Local Football Match with Uruguayan Ambassador

Since taking on his new post in Beijing in
December 2015, the Uruguayan Ambassador, Mr. Fernando Lugris, has actively taken
part in HSC events, offering his appreciation for the quality DRC services and the
increasingly closer bilateral relations. Following the successful friendly
soccer game between the Department of Latin American and Caribbean Affairs of
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and his embassy in Beijing on 27 May, 2016
organized by the Uruguayan Embassy with the HSC’s assistance, and in
consideration of the fact that the Ambassador’s father used to be a famous
professional footballer of Uruguay and the sport is the love of his entire
family, this Department managed to invite the Ambassador’s family to watch a
football match, with the support from the corporate leadership, to strengthen relationship
with the senior diplomat. The event came as a pleasant surprise to the
Ambassador’s parents when they visited Beijing.
The Ambassador and his family watched a football
game between the Beijing Guo An Football Team and the Tianjin Taida Football
Team on the evening of 9 July, 2016, accompanied by Mr. Zhang Yue, General Manager,
and Miss. Lin Li, Deputy General Manager of the HSC. Wearing the Beijing Guo An
team uniform, the Ambassador and his family cheered enthusiastically for the
players and sighed when any chance of a goal was missed, together with the HSC
executives and Public Relations & Sales Department staff. When the match
was over, Mr. Zhang expressed his wish for the Ambassador to have a great time
in Beijing with his family on behalf of the HSC, and the Ambassador thanked his
host for the wonderful match that made him and his family feel perfectly at
home. He revealed that his family had already become big fans of the DRC.
The moral of this story is that while it is
important to have regular exchanges with our VIP customers, it is even more
important to have their families on our side!
