Beautify the Environment and Provide Better Customer Service: Jianwai DRC Protective Wall Erected

  To Improve the look of the protective wall for the Jianwai DRC tenants and with the support from the BDS and the HSC as well as the joint efforts of the Jianwai DRC Property Management Department and the International Club, the Jianwai DRC roadside decorative wall was erected on 18 May, 2016. The wall, exquisitely made and decorated, brightens up the street as the visual delights to the tenants and passersby.

  The No.1 Gate facing the Chang’an Avenue is the main entrance to the DRC with streams of pedestrians coming and going by ceaselessly. The bluish wall erected on the Xiushui Street in October 2015 for the International Club’s renovation and expansion project, which made passersby feel depressed, drew a gloomy contrast with the pleasing colors of the Jianwai Media Center. As the several-year-long renovation and expansion project will definitely affect the environment of the DRC tenants, to improve the surroundings for the tenants by building a nicely decorated wall is a must.

  Based on instructions of the BDS and the HSC leadership, the Jianwai DRC Property Management Department continuously made efforts in this respect, designed the plan, taking into consideration the HSC corporate culture, DRC features and, particularly, the Jianwai Media Center as a highlight spot, and in late October 2015, came up with the theme of the decorative wall which focused on welcoming Media Center customers. 

  The carefully designed plan was submitted to the BDS and the HSC senior executives and received approval. Ms. Jiang Qi, Deputy Director General of the BDS, expressed her appreciation for the efforts made by the DRC employees and wished the Jianwai Media Center could continue to make brilliant achievements in the future.

  Upon receiving approval for the plan, the Property Management Department stepped up efforts to communicate with the International Club right after the Spring Festival holidays. The construction work for the wall went underway on 13 May and was completed on 18 May, 2016. The tastefully decorated wall has proved to be an instant pedestrian eye-catcher, often causing passersby to stop and admire the DRC achievements. The wall offered a chance to showcase the DRC core value of “Respect” and the unique appeal of the Jianwai Media Center, and created one more bright-spot on the Chang’an Avenue.
