  The HSC held an Employee Family Open Day on the afternoon of 18 June at the Function Room of the Liangmaqiao Diplomatic Office Building. Being the first-ever such activity, the event went smoothly and was attended by some 130 audiences including Mr. Zhang Yue, General Manager of the HSC, Miss. Lin Li and Mr. Liu Yong, Deputy General Managers of the HSC, as well as executives from all departments of the HSC.

  In his welcoming speech, Mr. Zhang Yue extended his greetings and thanks to the families of the HSC employees on behalf of the Corporation’s leadership for the support provided by the employees and their families over the years. He noted that the achievements made in recent years, in relation to corporate culture development, file management implementation, internal management reinforcement, rollout of new services, major project progress, DRC brand-name buildup, increase of HSC influence in the property management field, core competitiveness improvement and the yield of socioeconomic benefits, were not merely attributable to correct instructions given by the BDS and HSC leadership but also the employees’ hard work and their families’ selfless contribution. Consistently maintaining the core value of "respect" and sharing the development benefits with the employees, the BDS and HSC have made ceaselessly efforts to bring benefits to employees and their families. He hoped that, in the HSC transition and development process, the employees and their families would form a community of common destiny. His speech was passionately applauded by the audience.

  A video presentation on the DRC achievements came next. Comprised of colorful clips and joyful narratives, the presentation described the journey of HSC development. The video show was followed by a detailed introduction to the corporate culture, new development projects, employee services and HSC prospects, which was made by Cao Jingtong from the Youth League Committee. Zhang Fan from the Personnel Department gave an overview on young employee training programs, which included new-employee orientation, on-job training and career counseling programs. Emphasizing on the core corporate value of “Respect” and the incentive programs, she said no effort was spared to construct a platform for the employees to showcase their talents, opening a path for their continuous self-improvement and career advancement.

  Based on his experience of working for the Chinese Embassy in the United States, Liu Yue from the Elevator Service Department elucidated the HSC objective of “supporting China’s diplomatic cause and providing service to foreign diplomatic missions”. Wang Jingjing from the Aojie Company made a video presentation on the East Jianwai DRC project, which included the stages of seeking approval, doing research and design, beginning construction, completing construction, and operating the project during a 1366-day span, and shared his experience of seeking to accelerate personal development while conducting the project work. Zhang Jieshan from the PR & Sales Department recollected her career advancement in the Jianwai DRC and the PR and Sales Department, and told the success story of herself as a vigorous and hardworking young person.

  19 families put down their wishes and anticipation for the DRC on the Good Wish Cards and hang them onto the Tree of Hope. Towards the end of the workshop, the youth league volunteers showed the families around the Liangmaoqiao Diplomatic Office Building and Diplomatic Residence Compound.

  The event offered a chance for the families of the employees to take a close look at the HSC, have a firsthand experience of the DRC, and know more about the development prospects of the Corporation. It is hoped that such event could be held regularly.

  The success of the event could never have been possible without the strong support and hard work of all the HSC departments staff. The Youth League Committee volunteers handled the preparatory work, delivered attentive services, and implemented work plans in a meticulous and conscientious manner. Under the leadership of Zheng Tao, Liangmaqiao Property Management Department Manager, proactive efforts were made in respect of venue arrangements and parking control. The Personnel Department prepared carefully made presentations on the youth training programs. Mr. Huang Debiao, Fire Prevention and Security Department Manager, oversaw the security work on-site. Family members of some 40 employees from 15 departments, including the General Office, Information and Research Office, Engineering Department, Financial Department, Supply Center, Technological Service Department, Elevator Service Department and Satellite Service Department, Property Management Departments of the Qijiayuan, Jianwai, Tayuan, Liangmaqiao and Jindao DRCs, Aojie Company and AIIB Property Management Office, took part in the event. Mr. Zhang Yue’s wife also graced the occasion with her presence.
