Jianwai Media Center Information Session

  To increase the awareness of the Jianwai Media Center and its services, enhance friendship between the Property Management Department and international media institutions, and build a platform for the exchanges between DRC shop-owners and tenants, the Property Management Department of Jianwai DRC held the Jianwai Media Center Information Session at the Media Center’s Function Room on the morning of 21 April, which was attended by nearly 80 people, including a number of chief representatives of the Beijing offices of international media institutions including the CNN, CBC, AFP, FBC (Finnish Broadcasting Company), VOA, TVE, Al Jazeera, NHK and Jiji Press, as well as representatives of the DRC shop-owners.

  Wang Qing and Han Yawen, acting as the moderator and the interpreter and on behalf of the Comprehensive Affairs Group and the Engineering Group of the Property Management Department respectively,  greeted the participants and made a trilingual presentation in Chinese, Japanese and English.

  Following the opening presentation, Liu Qing, Manager of the Property Management Department, delivered a heartening speech, thanking the media institutions and shop owners for attending the event and providing their support to the Property Management Department over the years. He vowed that the Property Management Department would always take the customers’ needs as the top priority and offer up-to-date and pragmatic services to the clients. He continued to say that, with the completion of the Jianwai Media Center construction project, the DRC has become capable of meeting residential, office and commercial demands. The opening of the DRC Media Center Function Room and Service Building has made the DRC a new landmark along the Chang’an Avenue. The information session was aimed to offer an opportunity for the international media and the shop owners based in the Service Building to exchange views and for the Property Management Department to provide comfortable and convenient service to customers so as to achieve all-win results.

  Mr. Zhou Yonggang, the DRC Media Center Service Building Manager, gave an overview on the Function Room and Service Building shopping outlets that had gone into operation with a PPT presentation, informing the media representatives and shop owners about the already available facilities.

  During the lunch break, the Property Management Department further promoted the Function Room and advertised upcoming performances to be put on in the Function Room. The face-to-face communication between the international media and shop owners offered firsthand experience of the conferencing, shopping and catering services. Thrilled to learn about the newly available services, the participants were keen to make more inquiries about the new facilities and services.

  The Property Management Department staff also took the journalists to visit the shops. Cherishing the once-in-a-life-time opportunity, the shop owners made thorough preparations for receiving the media visitors, some having prepared gifts with promotional literature and others delivering on-spot product presentations and experiences.

  During the visit, the media representatives gave their appreciation to the Property Management Department. The NHK Beijing Bureau Chief said that, he would like to thank the HSC for its support over the years and the Property Management Department for assisting with the interior decoration of the Bureau's new office, which immensely facilitated his Bureau’s relocation to the Media Center. He said he was tremendously grateful to the Jianwai DRC for organizing the information session and tour for him and his colleagues which enabled them to witness the continuous improvements of the DRC brand and its supporting services and would definitely make working and living in the DRC increasingly comfortable and convenient. In the end, he wished the HSC every success in the coming years.

  The event came to a successful close in midst of cheers and laughter. The information session served as one more chance for the Conferencing Service Group of the Property Management Department to gain experience in promoting the Function Room facilities, introduce the supporting services to the tenants, and lift the curtain on the Jianwai Media Center Promotional Campaign. The Jianwai DRC will make continuous efforts to build up platforms of communication for the tenants to live and work happily, satisfactorily and contentedly and make the Jianwai Media Center a true home for the international media organizations in Beijing.
