The Qijiayuan
DRC is the first residential compound for use by diplomatic clients in Beijing.
To improve the DRC services and market competitiveness, the first phase of the
renovation/expansion project got formally underway on 18 November, 2015. With the
generous support from the tenants and adjacent embassies, the DRC occupancy
rate has since been rising instead of dropping, from 94.9% in January to 97.7%
by the end of March. To thank the tenants and adjacent embassies for their
trust and support and to introduce the second phase of the project that will
begin in October 2016, the Public Relations & Sales Department, together
with the Property Management Department and the Engineering Department of
Qijiayuan DRC, organized an excursion to the COFCO “Intelligent” Farm for the
customers.
More than 80 people, including the Ambassador
of Singapore to China, together with diplomats, journalists and officials from
the embassies of Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Surinam, Croatia, Mozambique, and Angola,
the Reuters, RIA and International Committee of the Red Cross, as well as Mr. Zhang
Yue, Miss. Lin Li and Mr. Liu Yong, senior HSC executives, took part in the
event.
The visitors started the pleasant journey
from the Qijiayuan DRC to the COFCO farm at sunrise with a lot of enthusiasm
and anticipation. They took group photos in front of the farm gate on arrival
and were then taken on a tour of China's first-ever world-class urban farm located
at Fangshan District, Beijing, to learn about the state-of-the-art vegetable
and flower growing technologies, top-of-the-line and high-tech farming
applications and up-market ecotourism introduced from agriculturally-advanced countries
such as Israel.
Mr. Zhang Yue, HSC General Manager,
delivered the welcoming speech, thanking the visitors for coming. He disclosed
that, in order to address the housing shortage and supporting service facility
backwardness, the Qijiayuan DRC renovation project was an inevitable move. Upon
completion, the Qijiyuan DRC will have a division of the functions, as the eastern
part will be used for residential purpose only and the western part as office space.
The renovated fitness club and shopping and catering facilities will be
completely upgraded. As the second phase of the project was about to begin, the
HSC will endeavor to honor its promise to mitigate the impact of construction noise
on the tenants.
A Public Relations & Sales Department representative
made a carefully-prepared PPT presentation on the blue print, working schedule
and client service teams of the renovation project, which was well received by
the audience. To reassure the tenants, the Public Relations & Sales Department
and the Property Management Department representatives in the ensuing Q-A
session patiently answered the questions concerning the supporting services,
apartment swapping and accessibility facilities during the construction process,
which received high praise from the tenants.
Following the Q-A session, a tomato-eating
contest and place-of-origin quiz began, as the contestants threw themselves into
the game wholeheartedly amidst the spectators’ cheers. The HSC leaders
presented the prizes to the winners, which brought the excursion to a climax in
laughter and applauses. The HSC executives and visitors continued to exchange
views during the lunch break.
The excursion very well served the purpose
of gaining understanding and support of the tenants for the renovation project
and enhanced ties with the customers and adjacent embassies. The Singaporean Ambassador
taking part in the excursion gave his appreciation for the hearty and efficient
services of the DRC and expressed his hope to step up cooperation between his Embassy
and the HSC. We would also like to take this opportunity to present our heartfelt
thanks for the strong support and assistance from the Qijiayuan DRC Property Management
Department, Engineering Department, Fire Prevention and Security Department and
General Office.
