Qijiayuan DRC Organizes Excursion to Forbidden City
2018-01-24

Since the beginning of the year, the Qijiayuan DRC has seen a massive comeback of the traditional customers from the diplomatic community, as a large number of newly arrived envoys have opted to make their homes there. Numerous of them being in Beijing for the first time, to add to their after-work activities and knowledge of their host country, the Forbidden City is naturally a must-go. Nearly 50 customers, including employees from the embassies of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Gambia as well as the Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), signed in the Property Management organized excursion, which took place on 2 December. Mr. Huang Debiao, HSC Fire Fighting-Security director, and Zhang Miao, PR & Sales representative, also took part in the event.

The Property Management made more than full preparations for the excursion to ensure success, in the forms of invites making, which were delivered to each door of the selected tenants. The Bank of China E-Community App was also promoted together with the invitation delivery and 16 Sri Lankan embassy employees signed in for the trip through the App. When the applications were confirmed, excursion tips were also made and presented to the participants, one by one. With consideration to the low temperature of the excursion day, scarves and hand warmers were prepared.

Donning the scarlet scarves, the DRC excursionists drew a lot of envious attention in the Forbidden City on the chilly day and toured the old royal palace from end to end that offered them a chance to admire the majestic architecture and precious, rare and exquisitely made works of art of a bygone era.

The excursionists were treated to a buffet luncheon at the St. Regis Hotel in a festive ambiance and decorations when the DRC employees inquired about their opinions and comments on the Bank of China E-Community App. Further explanations on how to make the best use of it were made and the participants were invited to fill in a short questionnaire. When the lunch was over, the excursionists spent a short time to tour the hotel and learned more about the top-line amenities and facilities.

The past year has seen the all-out launching of the first phase construction and second phase of tearing down the old building of the Qijiayuan DRC Renovation Project that brought about massive impact on the living and working of the residents for the noise, dust and traffic congestion. Despite that, the DRC’s let-out rate has remained above 94%, thanks tremendously to the understanding and cooperation of the tenants. As the new year will see the completion and operation of the new buildings, it is believed, with continuous improvement and wider use of the E-Community App and closer and stronger communications with the tenants, the Property Management will embrace a better tomorrow together with the DRC dwellers.

Taking this opportunity, we would like to give our heartiest thanks to the Departments of PR & Sales, Finance, Fire Fighting-Security and General Office for their strong support to the event.
