Tayuan DRC Sports Game

In answer to DSB leadership’s Happy Work, Happy Life initiative, at the advent of Spring Festival 2017, Tayuan DRC hosted its second sports game for the employees. The Property Management made careful preparation and organization and the event received tremendous support from the HSC executives and trade union and saw proactive participation of the DRC employees. Mr. Liang Guochang, vice chair of HSC trade union, graced the occasion with his presence.

To make the game more fun and with consideration to the physical conditions of the senior employees, some differences were made in comparison to the average sports games. Taking part in the name of the everyday working teams, 8 contesting squads competed intensely with each other in the games of “Set Shot”, “Hitting the Gong Blindfolded”, “Picking Marbles with Chopsticks” and “Pony Crosses the River”, all being tests of team spirit. The contestants were in high morale and the referees worked dedicatedly to make sure everything went in good order. The 90-minute contest saw the general office and maintenance teams getting to the top to win the championship, amidst the spectators’ loud cheers that set the scene ablaze. The prizes completed with fine calligraphy brush-penned on the spot were handed to the winners.

The game was designed as a platform to raise team spirit and sense of honor whilst offering a chance for the employees to set their athletic spirit free through interactions and communications.

The participants agreed in unison that it presented them an opportunity to boost team spirit and unity, adding impetus to doing a better job in the forthcoming year through innovations with elevated morale. As the year of the Monkey is drawing to a close and year of the Rooster just around the corner, let’s join each other for happiness, celebration, good fortune and blessing, as the Tayuan DRC employees are ready to strive harder for a brighter tomorrow!
