Free Copies of China Daily Made Available to AIIB Employees

“8:30 a.m. in the AIIB Head Office’s coffee bar, an expatriate employee is savoring his/her morning coffee whilst perusing the China Daily offered free of charge by the AIIB Project Office, sitting by the window, starting off his/her day by being acquainted with the latest news in China and the world.” That is a scenario created by this Office as the result of the ceaseless quest to offer more caring and exhaustive service to the AIIB employees.

As a leading English newspaper telling the world the Chinese narratives, China Daily has been available for free reading in the DRCs for years, at the Customer Service Center, for instance. It could be said that China Daily has borne witness to the DRCs’ growth and developments. The founding of the AIIB is one of the most important achievements of China’s One Belt, One Road initiative, suggesting the steady progress made by the development strategy whilst making possible a global eye-catcher. As a window to the world and access to the mainstream community, China Daily is frequently quoted by the international media. Its free availability in the AIIB Head Office offers the best approach for the expatriate employees to learn about China and current world. Thanks to Mr. Li Shaojun, HSC general office director’s, personal support and attention, 70 copies of the newspaper are made available to the AIIB employees at the reception and all affiliated stores, to wide acclaims of the AIIB executives and employees. A Korean employee became the first person to take a browse when the papers were put on the rack in the lobby.
