Learn Chinese to Make Friends: Jindao DRC Offers Language Training Programs to Customers

  The 3rd Chinese language training program was offered in April by the Jindao DRC in conjunction with the Beijing Language and Culture Center for Diplomatic Mission (LCC). The one-month-long program was presented at the beginner and advanced levels, for which the Property Management Department made carefully-designed promotional posters and flyers and received enthusiastic response from the tenants. The enrolment quota was filled 100% for the beginner course and 50% for the advanced course in merely 3 days, showing a marked increase compared to the previous event. Tenants even made numerous inquiries after the deadline. The registered learners were from a large number of different countries, including Tajikistan, Bolivia, India, Pakistan, Guinea, East Timor, Togo, Chad, Uganda and Algeria, among others.

  The beginner and advanced courses took place on 18 and 19 April respectively with 100% attendance, and the passion for the Chinese culture drew the learners to the workshop. The sense of humor of the inspiring LCC teachers made the courses content-rich and easy to follow, livening up the lecture room, with increased participation by the learners. Apart from the textbook, the learners were also introduced to everyday terms for easy use when communicating with the locals. The Property Management Department made every effort to ensure that the LCC teachers were assisted by specially-assigned staff members who took part in the classroom interactions together with the teachers and learners, using their after-work hours.

  The training session closed on 19 May. All the learners were more than satisfied with what they had achieved and looked forward to the next Chinese language teaching program. They expressed their appreciation and gave praise for the careful arrangement made and dedicated service provided by the Property Management Department. 

  As indicated in the flyer, tenants “learn Chinese to make friends”. It is hoped that what the tenants have learned in the training session will allow them to work more efficiently, live a better life and make more friends in China through knowing the Chinese culture. The training session is also tremendously beneficial for the Property Management Department, as the experience gained will be of great help for organizing more such events in the future.

  The Property Management Department hopes that more tenants will have the chances to enjoy the benefits of learning the Chinese language and culture in the future.
