Enjoy World-famous Cuisines: Tayuan DRC Culinary Training Program

The early summer in Beijing, neither too
cold nor too hot, is a good time for city dwellers. Aiming to increase the customer
satisfaction, enhance DRC customer loyalty, offer more
cultural activities to enrich the life of the diplomats and their families, and
make living in the DRC a more home-like experience, the Property Management Department
of the Tayuan DRC organized a culinary training program at the DRC Function
Room at 1:30 p.m., 15 June, 2016. Some 20 tenants from the United States, Chile,
Germany, Japan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan and Nepal, among others, took part in the
event.
A complete set of cooking utensils and food
ingredients were prepared for the learners and Ms. Li Li, a Chinese Japanese
DRC customer, was invited to deliver a lecture. Ms. Li has lived in the
Qijiayuan and Jianwai DRCs successively since 2002 and is known as a culinary expert, as she has traveled extensively to all
parts of the world, including Europe, Americas and Asia, to enjoy local gastronomic
delights.
During the event, Ms. Li demonstrated each
and every step in a sequence of food processing operations in an attentive,
patient and meticulous manner to the very eager and passionate learners, including
the choice of recipes, ingredient preparation, use of spices and eventual
cooking and boiling, and presented the learners with the unique appeal of the culinary
art as well as a chance to see the results of their own endeavors. In the end,
Ms. Li gave her comments on the learners’ achievements in regard to the flavor,
taste and presentation before the dishes were taken home to share with
families.
As the event drew to a close, the ladies
taking part in the program expressed their appreciation for the preparatory
work done by the Property Management Department staff. To meet their request for
participating in the training program regularly, a wechat group was established
for the lecturer and learners to share their secret recipes and to lay a
foundation for building up friendship. Being the organizer, the Property
Management Department announced that it would release information regarding the
culinary training program in the wechat group in anticipation for wider
participation by DRC tenants in the future.
With love and care for the tenants, the
culinary training program has demonstrated our commitment to “building a
community of harmony” and opened a window to the world cookery culture,
creating a platform for the DRC dwellers to exchange and share their culinary know-how.
Based on this successful reach-out event, further efforts will be made to
create new opportunities to enrich the DRC life.
