On 11, 16 and 22 March, 2016, this Office
organized 5 workshops respectively on the BOC E-Community Life Tools App at the
Tayuan, Liangmaqiao, Sanlitun, Qijiayuan and Jianwai DRCs, attended by senior
executives, customer service staff and medium ranking officers of the relevant property
management departments and presided over by Ms. Yang Yi, Deputy Director of the
Information and Research Office (IRO) of the HSC.
The workshops, consisting of presentation,
experience sharing and Q-A sessions, began with a lecture on the BOC
E-Community Life Tools App, the currently available applications and future
additions, given by the bank staff. The audience were then guided to use the
app as DRC tenants, customer service staff and maintenance employees in a
simulated app environment which covers functions like User Registration, Bank
Card Connection, Property Hookup, Community Announcement, Intranet Message
Posting and Checking, Repair Requesting and Complaint Lodging, in order to develop
a comprehensive understanding of the app through interactions with the
lecturers. The training went on in an enthusiastic atmosphere and was completed
with very satisfactory results.
After the workshops were concluded, the
property management departments, IRO and BOC held discussions on the app
promotion action plan, as it is one of the top priorities in the HSC agenda for
this year. The HSC leadership attaches great importance to the project, and the
property management departments all vowed to provide full cooperation in the
app promotion activities. The following
consensus was reached at the meeting:
1. The property management departments will
each designate a contact person for the follow-up app training and promotion activities
and provide the IRO with a list of 10 tenants for trial usage, which will be
forwarded to the HSC ;
2. The property management departments will
designate backstage operators, decide on their authorizations and provide the
name list to the IRO by the end of March. When the app is launched online
initially, the authorizations and users will be distributed by the IRO in the
BOC property management system, and the subsequent maintenance work will be
performed by the property management departments.
3. The property management departments will
provide the IRO with their BOC E-Community Life Tools App promotional plans,
which will be forwarded to the HSC by the middle of April.
Through the workshops, the managerial and
operational staff of the property management departments developed an in-depth
understanding of the app functions and operation, and had an exchange of views on
the next stage promotion activities, with comments and suggestions for further
app improvement being collected (and provided to the BOC). More workshops will
be organized in the second half of this year when the app’s second development phase
will be completed.
