On the evening
of October 30, 2015, the halloween party held by the Property Management Division
of Liangmaqiao DRC and the United States Embassy kicked off in Region C. Guests
participating in the event on invitation included Lin Li, Deputy General
Manager of Beijing Housing Service Corporation for Diplomatic Missions, Mr.
Kennan Watt, the Housing Officer of the United States Embassy, , as well as
other officers from relevant divisions.
Halloween is a traditional western holiday, and on the Halloween night, people are dressed up in costumes and children ask for presents door by door carrying pumpkin lights. The party was held to increase mutual understanding between the Property Management Division and tenants from the United States Embassy, and to make foreign tenants feel at home.
The party was filled with wonderful programs, which lit up the atmosphere and encouraged energetic interactions. In the beginning, the host introduced the guests from both sides, and then three excellent dancers gave two Hawaii dances, which won the hurrah of the audience and brought the party to a climax. It’s worth mentioning that to create a Halloween-style environment, staff from the Property Management Division hanged string lights, laterns and spider webs in advance.
Whenever holding such events for clients, the Property Management Division of Liangmaqiao DRC always adheres to the principle of seeking combination between Chinese and Western characteristics while promoting traditional Chinese culture. On the Halloween evening, Professor Ma Jingru from the Central Academy of Fine Arts attended the party at the invitation of the Property Management Division, and demonstrated the elegant demeanour of Chinese painting. For the purpose of promoting interactions between clients and staff, the Property Management Division prepared white lanterns and masks for children to paint on, and under the guidance of Professor Ma, they created marvelous works with their immense imagination.
The Property Management Division also prepared abundant fine food, such as fresh shrimp spaghetti, German sausages, salad, wine, fresh fruit, etc. Children enjoyed the food while playing around, and parents chatted with each other carrying food and drinks around high tables. Throughout the whole event, our dutiful HSC staff members kept an eye on the event to ensure safety.
The Halloween party held by the Property Management Division of Liangmaqiao DRC and the United States Embassy eventually came to an end with delightful laughter of the participants. The event not only enriched the entertainment of tenants and made them feel at home, but also enhanced the mutual understanding between tenants and the Property Management Division. In the future, Liangmaqiao DRC will continue to hold such activities with the aim to increasing mutual trust, enhancing understanding, providing better services and bringing DRC to a new height.
