On 11th January, 2015, during the intervals of visit, Foreign
Minister Wang Yi paid an inspection visit to the construction site in the
Chinese Embassy in Kenya, accompanied by Charge d’Affaires counselors Tian Lin
and Yao Ming. He inspected the project
under construction and listened to the briefings from Li Xiaotian, director of the
project department in Kenya under the administrative affairs department of the
Foreign Affairs Ministry, Ma Xueyi, project leader from Beijing Jiaoyuan Construction Co. Ltd., and An Quanzhan
from Yong Mao Xing Da Management Company.
At the
site entrance, Foreign Minister Wang Yi viewed the display wall of effect
pictures with great interest and also asked questions about decoration
standards and area. Subsequently he
looked over the construction site, learned details about construction
situation, and earnestly waved to the workers there. Greatly satisfied by the project processes, Foreign
Minister Wang also reminded them of paying great attention to safety and taking
care of themselves, concerning the current situation in Kenya. Near the end of the inspection, Foreign
Minister Wang took a group photo with project managers and all workers to mark
the occasion, and instructed the project team that “ We must complete the
project with high quality and win the honor for Jiaoyuan Corporation and China
ultimately.” The inspection greatly stimulated the whole project team’s working
morale, driving all staff to work harder, to ensure that quality and quantity
targets can be met and to submit a satisfactory answer to the Chinese Foreign Affairs Ministry and the Chinese Embassy in
Kenya.
