PART.01 World Family Day: Co-Building a Better Future, Co-Creating a Vibrant Beijing
On May 10, "DRC+ World Mart: The 8th World Family Day" was held successfully at Jianguomenwai DRC. The event was attended by Zuo Peng, General Manager of the Beijing Housing Service Corporation for Diplomatic Missions (DHSC), Liu Haibo, Tang Hao, Deputy General Managers of DHSC, Li Xiao, Secretary of the Jianguomenwai Subdistrict Party Working Committee, Zhang Jiongyang, Director of the Subdistrict Office, along with leaders from relevant organizations and ambassadors from five countries, including Burundi, Jamaica, El Salvador, Lesotho, and Moldova. More than ten embassies participated in exhibition preparations, while hundreds of diplomats and community residents gathered together for a feast of cultural exchange between China and the world.
PART.02 World Family Day: Cultural Exchange and Integration
Centered on the theme of integration between Chinese and international cultures, this year's World Family Day featured an embassy cultural bazaar alongside domestic cultural exhibition zones. Activities included demonstrations of intangible cultural heritage (ICH), family creative workshops, cultural performances, and a market of time-honored brands, creating a lively and welcoming international neighborhood atmosphere. A dazzling array of specialty foods and cultural products from ten countries, including Maldives, Argentina, and Moldova, was on display. products from Shandong, Jiangxi, and Yan'an was exhibited for showcasing provincial culture of other cities, and China's revolutionary traditions.
At the "Passing on Intangible Heritage · Empowered by Digital Intelligence" interactive zone, participants experienced how traditional ICH techniques were revitalized through modern technology. The event also introduced innovative interactive activities such as the "World Family Day Passport" stamp collection challenge and a hand-drawn "World Family Map," providing guests with an immersive experience.
PART.03 World Family Day: BDS & DRC at Your Service
During the event, the BDS News and Publicity Division took the lead in establishing a "Diplomatic Service Matrix," integrating resources from the Group' s various business brands for centralized promotional displays, service presentations, and a survey of the needs of diplomatic missions. Through this matrix-based approach, the event offered one-stop service experiences while strengthening diplomatic clients' recognition of and trust in the Group's brands.
Looking ahead, DHSC will continue to thoroughly implement the important directives of President Xi Jinping on the development of the service sector, closely align with the requirements of urban renewal, and accurately identify the needs of diplomatic missions. By leveraging its location advantages, the company aims to build a distinctive diplomatic residence brand, explore new pathways for international community development, promote coordinated growth across the Group's businesses, and contribute to major-country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
