Fun Continues at Tayuan DRC in 2017
2017-07-31

As part of the Year of Traditional Chinese Culture at Tayuan DRC, a Bank of China E-Community App promotion and Fun at Tayuan DRC garden party was recently organized.

The event was inaugurated at the central garden of Tayuan DRC at 2 pm., 20 May 2017, attended by some 100 invited guests, including the ambassadors of Papua New Guinea and Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as senior diplomats and families from the embassies of the United States, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, Cyprus and Nepal in Beijing. Mr. Zhang Yue, Miss Lin Li and Mr. Liu Yong, top HSC executives, also graced the occasion with their presence.

Mr. Zhang made the opening speech to recount the experience of the past decades regarding the overall soft-hardware upgrading in the Tayuan DRC, particularly the Year of Traditional Chinese Culture events in recent years that have uplifted quality of services. He hoped that the guests would all have fun at the party.

Despite the fact that countless tenants have come and go, some for home and some away to other locations, in the past decades, the Tayuan DRC has seen faithful followers who have unwaveringly chosen it as their home in Beijing, growing up together with the DRC, rain or shine, through thick and thin. To thank for their devotion, Mr. Zhang presented awards to the Cyprus embassy, which had had its office at the Tayuan Office Building for 27 years, and a French family that had lived in the DRC for 10 years, for their long-term commitment.

A display counter was erected to promote the Bank of China E-Community App to exhibit the functions and areas of service of the application, which has been made into an intelligent community service system, including functionalities in property management, customer service, banking and supporting services provided by the affiliated businesses. It will not only improve the quality of property management services and widen the range of community life, but also create a platform for deeper HSC resources integration and intelligent community service search.

The Zongzi (glutinous rice dumplings) making stall proved to be a warmly welcomed spot where a large crowd was drawn and couldn’t wait to have a try with their own hands. Handicraft masters from the Chinese Language and Culture Center and Chinese Folk Art Experience Museum showcased their expertise in string-knot making, paper cutting, foldable fan painting and wood carving, drawing a lot of ‘’oohs’’ and ‘’ahs’’ from the spectators. The Beijing Duty Free Shop for Diplomatic Missions and the St. Regis Hotel Beijing, together with DRC affiliated stores, such as the Guo Yi Hui Traditional Chinese Medicine Center and the Beijing International Post Office, displayed hundreds of choice products that captured the partygoers’ attention. The children were playing on the meadow carefreely, turning the scene into a world of joy.

The party drew to a gradual close amidst the funseekers’ laughter, green grass and multicolored flowers, as the residents’ satisfaction and contentment had very generously paid off our efforts.

Taking this opportunity, we would like to give our heartiest thanks to the DSB and HSC leadership, PR and Sales Department, Information and Research Office, Fire Prevention and Security Department, Duty Free Shop, St. Regis Hotel and Language and Culture Center for their strong support and full assistance.
