As a longtime partner of strategic cooperation of the DSB-HSC, China Unicom’s VIP Service Bureau (VIP Service) has maintained long-term close relations with the DSB and HSC. The Jianwai Business Office of the VIP Service formally went into operation at the Jianwai Media Center on 17 May 2016. Since its opening nearly one year ago, this Department, making use of its customer reach-out events, has helped with the VIP Service’s publicity and promotional activities. With tight collaboration between the two sides, the operation of the Business Office has since taken off and went on the right track, going from strength to strength.
To better help the VIP Service promote its newly offered service and enable DRC residents to learn more about it, with this Department’s coordination, the VIP Service organized the New Innovative International Service Promotional 2017 in its name on the afternoon of 20thApril at the Function Room of the Jianwai Media Center.
At this Department’s invitation, Mr. Ricardo León, Costa Rican Ambassador to China, Mrs. Shani Calyaneratne Karunaratne, minister of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Beijing, and Mr. Ito, director of NHK China Bureau, Japan, as well as Wang Ying, director of the VIP Service of Unicom Beijing, were present at the event, seated in the front row.
The event was started with a Unicom lecturer briefing the audience on the VIP Service’s history, and operation, ranging from its distinctive strengths in networking, sophisticated technology to exclusive service. The guests watched the promotional documentary and listened to the presentation attentively, as the VIP Service was covering a wide spectrum of business in mobile telecommunications, online media and news release/coverage, etc. In the second half of the event, the lucky draw session carefully prepared by Unicom Beijing pushed the atmosphere to a big height. Wang Ying presented awards and took photos with 6 prize winning guests, Mme minister from the Sri Lankan Embassy in Beijing being one of the winners.
Then, the guests were led to take a close look at the display counter to learn about the newly offered international service. Attracted to the professional service and the a la carte preferential offer of the VIP Service, numerous journalists swarmed to the exhibition stand to pose questions with a lot of patience. Taking advantage of the event, this Department also set up a display booth for the Bank of China E Community APP. Staff from the Jianwai Office of the Bank of China was invited to take part in the event by the HSC Information & Research Office to introduce the APP’s features to the participants and helped the guests get connected, with satisfactory results.
The event’s success owes tremendously to the close cooperation between this Department and the VIP Service of Unicom Beijing, thanks to the organizers’ efficient communications and, moreover, a good foundation made possible by the concerted efforts of the two sides. This Department is going to further strengthen collaboration with the VIP Service in the future, taking full advantage of the Business Office at the Jianwai Media Center, to offer better supporting service to the DRC residents whilst is always ready to draw larger number of customers for enhancement of mutual good will between the two sides and win-win results, working hand in hand with unyielding endeavors.
