Chinese Language Training Bridging Communication Gap: Qijiayuan DRC Offers Chinese Language Training Sessions
2016-11-02

To further enhance communication with the tenants, upgrade service quality, diversify services as well as promote traditional Chinese culture, the Property Management Department of Qijiayuan DRC, together with the Chinese Language and Culture Center, offered a month-long Chinese language training program for the tenants from 24 June to 30 July, 2016.

Based on previous experiences and comments from the tenants, the Property Management Department made careful preparations to hold the training sessions on Fridays and Saturdays, comprising of 24 classes on 12 days altogether, as some of the tenants preferred to attend the sessions on weekends, and others, mainly family members of the office workers, on week days. The training sessions were offered with diverse contents to meet the varying needs of the learners, creating more chances for them to study the Chinese language and communicate with the tutors.

The training program witnessed eager participation of tenants from embassies of Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Togo, Singapore and Austria, among others. Despite the heat in Beijing’s high summer, nothing, rain or sunshine, seemed to have dampened their enthusiasm. Some of the participants, though having to move to another location which is far away from Qijiayuan on a temporary basis owing to the Renovation Project, continued to attend the sessions.

The participants expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Property Management Department for the considerate arrangements and excellent services, such as providing bottled water on the desks, switching on the air-conditioner beforehand and delivering class schedule change notices to each and every learner, which showcased the Property Management Department’s respect and care for the customers. The training program proved to have successfully boosted the communication and understanding between the Property Management Department and tenants as well as created an atmosphere in which cultural exchanges are encouraged. As the Renovation Project is still underway, more efforts will be made to provide higher quality services for greater satisfaction of the customers.
