To elevate public awareness of the Jianwai Media Center, enhance communications and mutual trust between the Property Management Department and merchant tenants, achieve multilevel cooperation and win-win results, and create a better future, the Property Management Department of the Jianwai DRC held the Jianwai Media Center Merchant Tenants Meeting on 23 February, 2016, which was attended by 24 representatives of the merchant tenants, to draw upon useful opinions and enhance mutual understanding of tenants. Mr. Song Guang, Deputy Manager of the Public Relations & Sales Department, and Feng Dan, Zhang Jing and Sun Yao, Sales Representatives of the Jianwai DRC Project Team, also took part in the event.
The meeting was presided over by Zhou Yonggang, Person-in-charge of the Jianwai Media Center Service Building, who first introduced the participants to each other and then briefed the participants on the Jianwai DRC in five aspects: the DRC, the Media Center, the Property Management Department and its clients, the Special Services and the prospect of the DRC, providing a comprehensive overview of the DRC to the audience.
Liu Qing, Manager of the Property Management Department of the Jianwai DRC, extended his welcome to the merchant tenants, and pointed out that the Media Center was a step forward to improve the DRC services and offer safer, more comfortable and convenient supporting facilities to the tenants. The Property Management Department would keep in close contact with the merchant tenants, pay closer attention to their needs, and strive for win-win results in the future. He hoped, through interactive discussions, communications and mutual understanding, both sides could make common efforts to create a better future for the Jianwai Media Center.
Mr. Song from the Public Relations & Sales Department added, as the first self-managed commercial project of the HSC, the Jianwai Media Center had to accumulate managerial and operational experiences in a continuous manner and would make dedicated efforts to provide a better business environment for the merchant tenants by delivering better supporting and value-added services. Mr. Song said that the industrial and commercial registration procedures of some merchant tenants and the underground gym had been completed, and the Public Relations & Sales Department would continue to follow up with the registration procedures of other merchant tenants based on the underground levels. Further efforts would be made in 2016 with the aim to increasing the Media Center’s lease-out rate to 90% and bringing a greater number of customers to the merchants' shops. It was hoped that the merchant tenants could understand and support the work of the Department, offer quality service to other DRC tenants, and work for win-win results through mutual cooperation.
The opening remarks were followed by an introduction of the merchant tenants, who briefed the attendees on their operations, specialties and services. The attendees also touched upon the issues encountered in the pre-opening and trial operation stages and offered suggestions, including, for instance, establishing a merchant tenants' wechat platform, displaying promotional materials of other merchants in each merchant's shop and conducting promotional activities by modern technological means. They hoped to have the assistance of the Property Management Department and the Public Relations & Sales Department in communicating with the urban management, police and city planning authorities of the Jianwai region on the issues they raised and in going through their licensing procedures.
Mr. Liu, Manager of the Property Management Department, answered the merchant tenants’ questions and swore to provide full support. He revealed that before the tenants' shops went into operation, his Department had already communicated with the Jianwai police, urban management, traffic control and other municipal administrative authorities to ensure the normal operation of the shops. On top of that, Mr. Liu reassured the tenants that, as a pivotal project of the HSC and the Jianwai DRC, the Service Building’s hardware and software would be continuously improved and promotional events would be held to assist the shops’ operation in pursuit of the win-win outcome.
The merchant tenants all admitted that the meeting had built a good platform of communications, and the face-to-face conversation added to their entrepreneurial passion and enhanced the close relationship between the Property Management Department and merchant tenants with the “inspiring” new business ideas. The friendly, enthusiastic and candid atmosphere of the meeting was motivating and exhilarating and helped boost the merchant tenants and the HSC’s confidence in achieving common development. Also, the meeting left the merchant tenants with an impression that the HSC was a responsible, sympathetic and pragmatic partner. The Property Management Department and the Public Relations & Sales Departments’ sincerity moved a merchant in her 20's so much that she broke into tears and thanked the HSC for offering the opportunity of communications and expressed appreciation for the kind help provided by other experienced tenants.
The two-hour meeting went on in a harmonious and lively atmosphere and the merchant tenants commended and thanked the Property management Department for its help and support. The participants took group photos at the end of the event and the Property Management Department, handing out questionnaires to collect suggestions and proposals, promised speedy feedback.
The meeting signaled that a channel of direct communications between the Property Management Department and merchant tenants would be further optimized, which is conducive to identifying and meeting the customers’ needs in a timely and regular manner and elevating the awareness of the DRC-HSC quality service and brand name. More efforts will be made to help the merchants to start business operation in the soonest time and attract more merchants to the Jianwai Media Center, so as to increase the influence of the Jianwai Media Center, provide good value-added service and achieve win-win results through cooperation between the HSC and the merchant tenants.
