On February 11, 2026 local time, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met with Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Budapest.
Wang Yi conveyed the cordial greetings from Chinese leaders to Viktor Orbán. Wang Yi said that while the international situation is complex and volatile, what remains unchanged is the friendship and cooperation between China and Hungary. The leaders of the two countries have established firm mutual trust and friendship, providing a strategic guarantee for the sound development of China-Hungary relations. China appreciates that the government led by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has long pursued a friendly policy toward China and actively promoted all-round cooperation between the two countries. Facts have proven that developing mutually beneficial cooperation with China fully serves the fundamental interests of the Hungarian nation and its people and is a correct choice.
