On December 22, Director General Zhou Xisong met with H.E. Mr. Alberto Blanco Silva, Ambassador of Cuba to China. Deputy Head of Mission Mario Alzugaray Rodrígue, Deputy Director General Chen Li and persons in charge of relevant departments attended the meeting.

Director General Zhou Xisong stated that this year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cuba. Under the guidance of the heads of state of the two countries, China-Cuba relations have reached a new height, and bilateral cooperation has become a fine example of solidarity, collaboration, sincere mutual assistance among nations. BDS has constantly carried forward the traditional friendship with the Cuban Embassy in China, and fruitful outcomes have been achieved in exchanges and cooperation across various fields. Zhou briefed the major business sectors of BDS in providing services to diplomatic missions in China, with a key briefing on the Regulations on the Administration of Chinese Employees of Foreign Diplomatic and Consular Missions in China and the planning and construction plan for the Fourth Embassy Zone. He stated that with the purpose of  "serving China’s diplomatic affairs, serving foreign diplomatic missions in China and serving socialist development", BDS will continue to render assistance to Mr. Ambassador and the Cuban Embassy for their performance of duties in China.

H.E. Mr. Alberto Blanco Silva briefed the new outcomes of bilateral cooperation in recent years, commended BDS for its outstanding work in the administration of employees and the renovation of premises for the Cuban Embassy in China, and expressed the willingness to further strengthen practical cooperation with BDS.
