The voluntary blood donation event of the Beijing Service Bureau for Diplomatic Missions (BDS) took place in the Sanlitun DRC auditorium on the morning of 22 December, organized by the Department of Administrative Affairs involving all departments, according to the Voluntary Blood Donation Plan issued by the Beijing Red Cross Blood Center. During the 2-hour event, the whole process, from staff signing in to blood testing and drawing, went smoothly and was a complete success.

Qian Hongshan and Lu Huizhao, Director General and Deputy Director General of the BDS, and senior executives from various BDS departments and affiliated institutions, including the Housing Service and Personnel Service Corporations, took part in the event to pay respect to the voluntary blood donors. Mr. Qian made detailed inquiries about the preparations made for the event and talked cordially with the volunteers, telling them to relax in the blood drawing process and take a good rest afterwards for quick recovery.

100 BDS staffs and employees registered for blood donation this year and 50 of them passed the pre-drawing test to complete the admirable deed. Their action is deemed as the highly commendable and selfless contribution to the society. We would like to take this opportunity to extend our hearty thanks for the compassion and selfless contribution made by the 50 donors, and our gratitude also goes to all related departments for the strong support they provided. The last but not the least, we would also like to give our thanks for the meticulous preparations made and logistic support provided by the Logistics Center.
