The Duty Free Shop Participated in the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Internat

With the first snow of this winter, Beijing was quiet and peaceful on November 6, 2015. As the saying goes, “A timely snow promises good harvests”. There was a festive atmosphere in the Banquet Room of the St. Regis Hotel where the Groundbreaking Ceremony and Roadshow of the International Club Building was held. As a sister-unit of the Club, the Duty Free Shop prepared ten varieties of fine imported wines for a tasting session offered to guests during the ceremony, thereby conveying its most sincere wishes to the Hotel. In recent years, despite the slowdown of the gifts market, declining spirits sales profits and other adverse market conditions, the Duty Free Shop was able to continue to explore new ideas and develop new markets, thanks to the strong support from sister units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the BDS. Full of gratitude, the Duty Free Shop is determined, through cooperation with the sister units of the Ministry and the BDS, to make joint efforts for creating a new blueprint for business development in the new situation.

Over two hundred guests including Qian Hongshan, Assistant Foreign Minister, Yuan Weimin, Director General of the BDS, Jiang Qi, Executive Deputy Director General of the BDS, Su Wen, Deputy Director General of the BDS, Wang Bingnan, Deputy Director General of the BDS, Cheng Jie, Secretary of Discipline and Inspection Commission of the BDS, representatives of the diplomatic corps and representatives of partner companies were invited to the event. The leaders joined the youth from the Shop in front of our shop’s booth to take pictures, praised our work and provided encouragement. Assistant Minister Qian expressed his interest in the business development of each affiliated organizations of the BDS, praising these young people for working hard in the front line and providing an incentive by writing four Chinese characters meaning "envoys". The high-quality and low-price wines as well as professional services of our Shop impressed all the guests when the event was in full swing amid laughter from guests in front of our booth.

The recognition and support of our customers encouraged us very much. Providing better goods and more attentive service is our permanent goal. In the future, we will continue to make more efforts in performing our work, communicate more effectively with other units of the Ministry and BDS, share resources, and strive together to create new opportunities to serve the diplomatic cause.
