The Cleaning Squad under the Qijiayuan DRC
Property Management took part at a series of training sessions aimed at better
serving the tenants, as part of the opening of the renovated Building 3, in the
first half of 2017. Themed around garbage classification and the One Belt-One
Road Initiative, the cleaners’ training offered daily operation knowhow,
English language basic skills and background information, among others, and was
attended by some 20 squad members.
True to the motto « Everyone
is responsible for garbage sorting », the participants
learned the importance of garbage sorting as well as ideas, practices and
approaches in use in the advanced countries in this area, like Singapore and
Japan, and also practical skills of garbage sorting in daily work on 27 March.
Taking the special features of the diplomatic residence compound into account,
the coach also taught basic English terms for daily use, to better serve the
expatriate residents. As large numbers of tenants in the Qijiayuan DRC are
diplomats from the Belt and Road countries, the instructor made a presentation
of the history of the Belt and Road Initiative, together with the basic
English words, on 19th June, familiarizing the cleaning staff with
the customs and traditions of the Belt and Road countries, so as to better
serve the diplomatic residents in the DRC.
The Property Management encourages all
employees to take a proactive part in the learning. When making preparations
for the training session, the Property Management worked together with the
instructor and helped with the PPT making. Efforts were made to provide space
and equipment necessary for the tutorials, and more sessions will be organized
in the future to better serve the customers upon completion of the Qijiayuan
DRC Renovation-Expansion Project.
