The Beijing International Club Co., Ltd. was established in 1987. As the only Sino-foreign joint venture affiliated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it has three shareholders, namely the Beijing General Service Corporation for Diplomatic Missions, the Sheraton Beijing Ltd, and the HK Sun Hung Kai Properties (Beijing International Club) Ltd.


The company, located on the extended line of East Chang An Street, boasts the advantageous geographical location and convenient access to public transport. With a total area of 47,000 square meters and a floor space of 92,000 square meters, it is a comprehensive diplomatic service company that offers offices, accommodation, conference service, recreation and fitness service as well as catering service.


Since its establishment as a joint venture, the company has always been committed to providing services of social networking, meetings, offices, recreation and fitness, catering and others to Chinese and foreign diplomats, political and business figures, journalists and other personages of all walks of life. Its courtyard-style offices are unique in terms of tranquility and elegance among the bustling CBD buildings. The St. Regis Beijing, one of its subordinate companies, is now under the management of the internationally renowned Starwood Hotels & Resorts Management Group. St. Regis has received dozens of world leaders, business tycoons and celebrities, including world politicians such as former US Presidents Bill Cinton and George H. W. Bush and his son, President Barack Obama, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. In addition, it has hosted a number of important international conferences, ranging from the China-Africa Cooperation Forum, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit and the Six-party Talks and has gained a high reputation at home and abroad.
