Organized by the BDS Department of Administrative Affairs,the voluntary blood donation event was held in the Sanlitun DRC auditorium, involving all departments of the BDS on the morning of 21 March, in accordance with the requirements of the Beijing Red Cross Blood Center and the BDS Staff Blood Donation Work Plan. With adequate preparations, proactive inter-departmental collaboration and meticulous organization work, the 2-hour event went in a smooth, efficient and orderly manner and came to a successful conclusion.

During the event, Lu Huizhao and Wang Bingnan, Deputy Directors General of the BDS, and senior executives of various departments and affiliated institutions, such as the Personnel and Housing Service Corporations, were present to provide advice and pay respect to the blood donors. The voluntary blood donors from the departments and institutions made proactive contributions with caring and compassion, fully demonstrating the noble civic spirit and strong sense of social responsibility of the BDS staffs and employees, winning recognition and acclaim of the Blood Donation Center of the Dongcheng District.

120 staff members registered for making blood donation this year and 58 of them passed the pre-test and had the honorable chance to contribute, particularly Han Ye from the Personnel Service Corporation, Zhao Xinwei, Xu Jinghui from the Housing Service Corporation, Guo Zhenhua from the International Club and Jin Feng from the Language and Culture Center, who have donated blood on numerous previous occasions in the past years. We would like to pay respect to the above mentioned colleagues and all the staffs and employees who took part in the event. Our gratitude also goes to all the BDS departments and institutions for their strong support and, particularly, to the Logistics Center and Yunkang Property Management Corporation, for the extraordinary efforts they made for making the event a success.
