Thirty-nine foreign diplomats, officials and their family members participated in the tour. They are from Germany, Sweden, Italy, Greece, Poland, Thailand, Argentina, Mexico, Panama and Venezuela as well as other five international organizations or institutions.
On the journey, foreign friends have learned Chinese cultural and architectural traditions behind the Ming Tombs and gained an in-depth understanding of the philosophical idea of “unity of heaven and human being” stemming from China’s traditional architecture.
Upon arrival at the Juyong Guan, they became true heroes by making valiant efforts onto the Great Wall. They were absolutely amazed by the long history of China and hoped everything would go smoothly in the coming “Dragon” Year.
They fully understood the spiritual core of Chinese culture characterized as “harmony and peace” from the customs and traditions of the Chinese Spring Festival.
As special guests, they also attended the Spring Festival Gala of Kangling Village, watched the programs performed by local villagers.
