Mr. Hu Botao, Yunkang’s newly appointed general manager, delivered a speech to thank the DSB leadership for its care and trust. He said that he was confident that, under the DSB-HSC leadership’s guidance, the Yunkang employees and he will roll up their sleeves and work hard to make further achievements. He pledged :

1.       To be self-disciplined in performing his duty, taking Party construction as the first priority, in implementing all the DSB-HSC instructions and meeting the requirements ;

2.       To strengthen the executive team’s solidarity through consensus building, leveraging the DRC platform’s corporate strength to create an invigorating working ambiance in Yunkang ;

3.       To make proactive efforts in the growth pursuit through the establishment of the “adversity awareness” and strive to elevate the corporate management and service level by boosting unity and playing out the potentials.

Mr. Liu Yong, HSC deputy general manager in charge of Yunkang, spoke in behalf of the HSC leadership and said, having worked together with the HSC for long years with close operational ties in every respect, that Yunkang was most welcome to join the HSC as a new member. He said the new entity will share a common destiny with the HSC, hand in hand. He made 3 suggestions for Yunkang’s upcoming agenda:

1.       Shift the emphasis of work to the HSC’s primary business through corporate resources integration ;

2.       Further promote the management scale and meticulousness in delivering expatriate-oriented logistic services ;

3.       Build itself up into an HSC training base of domestic and international property management personnel conservation and assignment.

In the end, Mr. Liu said that he believed that, under the DSB leadership and with the support and assistance of all related HSC departments as well as the new company leader’s efforts, Yunkang would definitely see a bigger and stronger growth by leaps and bounds.

Mr. Liu Bin, DSB Logistic Center director, said that Yunkang’s development would have never been possible without the HSC support and assistance and that its merger into the HSC was in line with the general trend for development. His Logistic Center has been fully supportive of the DSB Party Committee’s decision and will contribute to in the handover in collaboration with the HSC and support Yunkang’s operation as always before.

Mr. Chen Chuang, DSB deputy director general, commented that, through the experience when he was working for the DRC Property Management, he acquired personal knowledge of Yunkang’s quality service. Being glad that Yunkang is now becoming part of the DRC, he presented his views on Yunkang’s transition into HSC :

1.       The reshuffle is in line with the trend of reform in the country at large and an important step of the DSB superstructure rearrangement. It was a significant decision made through thorough discussions under the leadership of Ms. Jiang Qi and he hoped that it will be perceived and comprehended in the right light in the process of implementation ;

2.       The decision corresponds to the central authorities’ requirement, as it was said that the DSB suffered from too many overlapping managerial levels. Such comments and suggestions were taken into full consideration in the DSB superstructure redesign ;

3.       The move was aimed to serve the DSB’s long term objectives. Yunkang’s merger into HSC will allow it to work better for the priority of improving the quality of service and management through resources integration and management optimization. It will also offer a broader platform of development for all the Yunkang staff and employees.

He hoped that, in the merger process, the people involved will get ready to embrace a new era and that each and every Yunkang employee will make new achievements with full passion at work to create, jointly with HSC, a better tomorrow.

Finally, Ms. Jiang Qi, DSB executive deputy director general, commented that the Yunkang’s merger into HSC was a good move, as all HSC employees welcome it. With a clear definition of the common perspective and objective, a big boost of harmony and business growth is now expected. She elaborated further on the central authorities’ requirement that initiated and road-mapped the DSB superstructure redesign. She added, having delivered strong support to the HSC operation in all aspects, that Yunkang’s performance assessment had already been integrated into the HSC for several years when its staff and employees began receiving the same incentives and benefits as their HSC counterparts. The leading officials of the former two companies will communicate and exchange views with each other on a regular basis, making their respective operations entangled and inseparable. On the basis of the DSB superstructure redesign, the two companies’ merger will offer new opportunities through joint efforts, formulating an integrated entity of property management. Leveraging the HSC’s broader platform, the employees will be able to make joint endeavors in hammering out an extraordinary team of expatriate-oriented service. She hoped Mr. Hu Botao would establish good communications with the Yunkang leadership to learn about the employees’ aspirations and build a united and motivated team. Basing on the full merger into HSC, the two companies’ executives are now expected to rotate positions for better integration. She hoped that, focusing on expatriate-oriented service, efforts will be made in brand name building and DSB development, to make a greater contribution to the nation’s diplomatic endeavors.

Having heard Ms. Jiang’s inspiring speech, Miss. Lin Li, HSC deputy general manager, remarked, as Yunkang was becoming part of HSC, that all the employees will share the same title of “DRC workers”. Following Ms. Jiang and Mr. Chen’s instructions and basing on the HSC corporate culture of Respect, Professionalism, Innovation and Open-mindedness, unity-based joint efforts will be made to seek new opportunities of development and offer higher quality services to the foreign diplomatic missions and DRC customers, living up satisfactorily to the expectation of the DSB leadership.
