On May 21 in this hot summer, this Department organized, for some major customers and students of Chinese language classes, a recreational activity of fruit-picking and fishing in the countryside. Liu Yong, Deputy General Manager of the Housing Service Corporation (HSC), Huang Debiao, Director of Fire Protection and Zhou Li, Officer of the Department of Public Relations and Sales, attended the event at our invitation.
For the first time, this Department enabled the participation of a number of children, who had been particularly enthusiastic to get registered. Over 40 diplomats and their family members from 12 countries participated in the event. To prepare for this event, the Property Management Department made meticulous preparations, especially in respect of security protection, laying the solid foundation for the successful tour.
After just an hour's drive, we successfully arrived at the food production base, and after a little rest, the guests started their trip. The tour was divided into three parts: "Harvesting Fresh Fruits and Vegetables”, "Experiencing the Joy of Fishing”, and "A Funny Game”. The first thing that caught the attention of everyone was the greenhouses full of bright colored fruits and vegetables. Full of joy, the guests couldn’t wait to enter the greenhouses and start picking fruits. Some pulled radishes, and others chose cucumbers and tomatoes. Everyone was busy. With their hands full of fresh fruits, all the visitors smiled happily. While adults busy picking fruits and vegetables, the children did not stay idle and under the leadership of the service staff of the Property Management Department, they had fun playing games and with sandbags, which would give them happy memories.
Then, we headed towards the fishing area, and, after having carefully listened to the instructions of our staff, the fishing party began. A customer said with humor: "I ate a lot of fish in my life, but this is the first time I do fishing myself." The strenuous efforts and the patience of everyone bore fruit eventually.
The guests went to the dining area to have lunch after the fishing party. Owing to an initial discussion prior to the event, the personnel of the base learnt that most of the guests from the Jindao DRC were Muslim, and therefore had carefully prepared distinctively halal dishes for them, which got unanimous approval. Before the lunch, Liu Yong, Deputy General Manager of the HSC, gave a warm speech on behalf of the DRC. Liu Yong said that traditional customers have always been the HSC's most important customers and those to whom the greatest importance is attached. The HSC has always adhered to the corporate ethics of "respect, professionalism, innovation, and openness" and was committed to providing first-class accommodation and related services to foreign embassies, representative offices of international organizations and foreign news agencies and their staff in Beijing. He hoped that Jindao DRC customers can have a happy and comfortable life in the DRC, and thanked them for their understanding, support and active cooperation. At the same time, the DRC will provide more convenient and efficient quality services to everyone. He wished that communication and friendship between the customers and the DRC will be deeper and longer in the future. During the lunch, the Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Cameroon, Mr. Nsah Voundy, spoke on behalf of the customers, thanking the DRC and the Property Management Department for organizing such a beautiful event. He said they love China and want to live here, because the service here is very good, and he hoped to have more opportunities to participate in activities organized by the Property Management Department in the future.
The event was highly valued by the Ambassador of East Timor. Though the Ambassador, who had to receive a high level domestic delegation, could not come, his brother participated in the event, and the Ambassador called leaders of the HSC to express his special gratitude to the management of the HSC and the Department of Property Management, saying that he will certainly participate in any event organized by the HSC next time.
On the way back, the Property Management Department, anticipating the upcoming Children's Day, distributed gifts to the children. The customers, feeling satisfactory with the event, all expresses their gratitude to the Department of Property Management.
These outreach activities for the tenants have not only built closer relationship between us and the customers but also allowed the customers, who used to be only neighbors, to become friends. In the future, the Department of Property Management will, in addition to introducing rectification measures to increase customer satisfaction, carry out diversified recreational activities targeting different customer groups.
We once again express our thanks to the food
production base, the Department of Public Relations and Sales and the Department
of Fires Protection of the HSC for the support and assistance they have given
to ensure the success of this event!
