LCC’s Prof Wu Lan’s Latest Translation Work --- The Witcher is Published

The renowned Chinese scholar in Polish literature, Professor of Beijing Language and Cultural Center for Diplomatic Missions(LCC), Dr. Wu Lan’s latest translation work "The Witcher" was recently published by Chongqing Publishing House.

The author of "The Witcher" is Andrzej Sapkowsk. He was an economist and worked as a part-time translator, and later embarked on the road of writing. In 1986, he wrote the first short story "The Witcher", which was widely praised by readers and critics. "The Witcher" series were adapted as the well-known game "Wizards" series and it has the honor to become the national gift that was sent to US President Barack Obama by the former Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. Andrzej Sapkowsk also became the most famous fantasy writer in Eastern Europe.

Professor Wu Lan has translated many Polish literature works. She won the “Medal for Outstanding Contributions to Polish Culture" in 2010, which was awarded by Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland.
