2016-01-07 13:41:50

On the afternoon of Sep 25, 2015, the Ta Yuan Property Management Department held for tenants a recreational event in the auditorium on the theme of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Foreign guests from France, Japan, Pakistan, Canada, India and other countries living in the Ta Yuan DRC, came with their children to participate in the event. The event, composed of the God Rabbit drawings contest, the mooncake making session and the puzzle contest, allowed the participants to experience the Chinese traditional culture and brought joy to all.

It was the second time that the Ta Yuan Property Management Department organized the event of Mid-Autumn Festival. Last year, the tenants were particularly interested in the God Rabbit drawing contest, the mooncake-making session and the puzzle contest, and so the event this year saw many improvements compared with last year, such as an additional ceremony award podium, special cards for children already rewarded and the setup of the stage as a result of the proposal put forward by some children last year wishing to offer a dance show. There were more balloon decorations on the stage encouraging children to play, trample balloons and sing and dance in the center of the scene. For this event, the Ta Yuan Property Management Department prepared colorful fruits and juice drinks as well as gifts for the children who drew the God Rabbit. A total of more than 80 people attended the event.

During the event, a U-shaped table was installed in the auditorium with its two ends being reserved for the Rabbit God drawing contest and its central part reserved for making mooncakes. Accompanied by the sound of lively children's music, the adults did not show less enthusiasm for learning how to make mooncakes by themselves. At both sides of the U-shaped table and under the watchful eyes of their mothers, the children sat in a circle around the table to create their works of art, learning with the utmost seriousness how to use a brush and gouache with the mothers giving a hand from time to time.

The Rabbit God drawing contest was a great success last year, and so the Ta Yuan Property Management Department bought many more patterns for this year’s event. Prior to the event, the staff members had sold many of their own works at the Liangmaqiao cultural show, and the children were eager to wait for their turn to draw Rabbit God of their own.

The participants showed so much enthusiasm for registering for the production of moon-cakes that some ingredients ran out. As a result, some participants had to use the modeling clay which we originally intended to give the children as gifts to help children realize their dreams. Disposable boxes for packing moon-cakes were prepared, allowing children to take their works home with them.

The puzzle contest again attracted the enthusiastic participation of the spectators, and each time someone got the answer, everyone responded with warm applause. Each person giving the correct answer was rewarded with a small gift.

The event lasted for over two hours, and at the end, some of the children seemed  to be leaving only with great difficulty.
