Consecutive interpretation is referred to as “CI”. It is a way of interpretation in which the interpreter takes notes while listening to what the speaker is saying and re-voice the entire source language content in the target language accurately, completely and naturally when the speech comes to an end or the speaker stops for the interpreter to interpret. Consecutive interpretation is suitable for meetings, seminars,press conferences and lectures. It is also acceptable for conventions based on practical conditions.
