On September 24, 2016, Beijing Language and Cultural Center for Diplomatic Missions (LCC) organized a desk show of Chinese cultural hand-painted palace fan for visitors of the Third Liangmaqiao·Diplomatic Chinese and Foreign Cultural Show held in the garden of Section B of Liangmaqiao Diplomatic Residence Compound.

Chinese palace fan has a deep richness in culture. The earliest palace fan appeared on a royal procession in the Shang Dynasty which is about more than 3000 years ago. Ms. Ren Kexin, the teacher of LCC briefly introduced the traditional painting art and basic skills to draw on the palace fan. Chinese and foreign visitors were deeply impressed, taking pictures with Ms. Ren and her fantastic works. They are looking forward to learning this traditional art at LCC in future.
