On 5 May 2015, GdańskUniversity of Poland held a launch ceremony and a seminar on LCC’s Prof. Wu Lan’slatest translation work –Who Runs FasterThan Lightning by Huang Lihai, a leading Chinese contemporary poet. Theauthor Huang Lihai, the famous Polish poet Adam Zagajewski, Prof. BernardLammek, President of Gdańsk University, and other experts and scholars attendedthe seminar. 

In 2014, Adam Zagajewski won the Ninth Poetry andPeople International Poetry Prize. Prof. Wu Lan introduced his poems to Chinesereaders by translating from Polish directly first time in China. Now,Prof. Wu Lan translated the Chinese contemporary poet’s poems into Polish sothat Polish readers can read Chinese poems. It is a good way to promotecultural exchanges between the two countries.
