Winners of the 5th Lu Xun Literature Prize, one of China's most prestigious literary accolades, were announced on October 20th. Being unprecedented in history, there was no winners for the National Outstanding Literary Translation Award.
Considered as one of the few influential translation awards in China, five works including “Travel with Herodotus” of Ryszard Kapuscinski, translated by LCC professor-Dr. Wulan, were nominated from 40 entries.
“Travel with Herodotus”, written by famous Polish war correspondent, photographer, writer and poet, Mr. Ryszard Kapuscinski, is the first of his literature work translated into Chinese language owing to Dr. Wulan’s outstanding translation.
On May of 2010, the Embassy of Poland in Beijing held a grand reception on which LCC Prof./Dr. Wulan was awarded "Polish Outstanding Cultural Contribution Medal" by Polish Minister of Culture.
