Sanlitun DRC Conducts Fire Fighting Training

9 November 2017 is the 27th Fire
Hazard Awareness Day of China. To mark the occasion, the Sanlitun DRC Property
Management organized fire fighting training to enhance the employees’ awareness
and combating ability in time of emergency on 8 November. An instructor from
the Zuojiazhuang Fire Brigade was invited to give a lecture and all the
employees, including departmental executives and office staff, took part. The
event was presided over by Zhang Jianjun, the deputy manager.
The instructor briefed the learners on fire
fighting basics and capacity building, explaining types of fire and elementary approach
to fire fighting as well as how to put a fire out in the early stage. He also elaborated
on how to choose the right extinguisher and escape to safety. Following the
lecture, the learners shared what they knew of the potential risks and how to make
improvement in daily work. The staff from the central control room asked
questions about how to perform their daily routines and issues about overseas
properties. In the end, Mr. Zhang pointed out emphatically that prevention was the
top priority and biggest issue in the capacity building. He hoped all the staff
would raise their fire hazard awareness and watch out for potential risks in
daily work and life and make improvement to ensure the DRC and personal safety.
Focusing on both the theoretical and
practical, the training provided a chance for the employees to learn some professional
expertise of telling different types of fire, how to evacuate and how to carry
out rescue in case of an emergency. This Department will keep in touch with the
fire authorities and find more diverse and practical ways of training to ensure
the DRC safety.
