The Courtyard-type Office Building

The Courtyard-type office building, known as the "Beijing International Club South Tower", was built in 1973 and consists of a main building, with two floors of retro style and the ceiling height of 3.8 meters, and gives a more spacious and more comfortable feeling compared with the new modern buildings. The main building is surrounded by plants, the quiet environment and elegant pavilions separated by paths covered with gravel. Everything here is delicate, elegant and splendid. All the press meetings of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) were organized on the second floor in the Hall of Crane before the completion of the construction of the new MFA building. In 2007, the building was included in the "Beijing Outstanding Modern Architecture Protection list" by the Beijing Municipal Planning Commission.
