Position: Commercial Officer – Health and Green

Location: Royal Danish Consulate General in Guangzhou
The commercial department at the Royal Danish Consulate General in Guangzhou is seeking to recruit an energetic and experienced Commercial Officer for a full-time position within the Green and Health sector.
Your job will be commercial case solving, consulting and promoting Danish companies and organizations to strengthen their commercial development in China.
You will be a fully integrated member in the Green and Health team, and you will be reporting to the Green (clean energy and environment) and Health team leaders in Beijing. Your colleagues are sector specialists Commercial Officers placed in Beijing, Chongqing, and Shanghai, whom you will be working closely with.
Your working place will be at the Royal Danish Consulate General in Guangzhou, and you will become the focal point of the Health and Green team in the Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Fujian and Hong Kong and a main contact for Danish companies with specific business interest in these regions.
We offer a challenging work environment where you need to combine a high degree of independent work tasks with cross country team-work within two sectors.
Job Description
You will provide high-level consultancy services and manage business development projects for Danish companies in China. You will also focus on sustaining strong commercial as well as governmental relations between Denmark and China.
Your work tasks will include:
· Counselling to Danish companies on strategic matters for the Chinese market
· Developing operational go-to-market plans for Danish companies prior to market entry
· Identify opportunities and execute promotional activities for Danish companies already established in the Chinese market.
· Research, identification and evaluation of local Chinese partners for Danish companies.
· Planning, organizing and executing promotional events and fairs
· Basic legal counselling, such as new company set up, IPR and tax
· Mediating between Danish companies and local governmental organisations.
Required Qualifications
We are looking for an open minded, positive and extrovert team player who is flexible and enthusiastic, with an eye for quality and efficiency in your daily work, and has the capability to initiate new opportunities and deliver tangible results.
Key qualifications;
· Excellent command of English and Mandarin - both oral and written.
· An established network within the Health and Green sector
· Business degree (minimum BA level)
· Knowledge and understanding of the retail mechanics
· Experience in executing consultancy services as well as strong commercial sense
· Experience with organizing customer events and seminars
· Experience in working with foreign enterprises
· International experience, possibly from studies or working abroad

The Danish Trade Council in China is the commercial branch of The Royal Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and consists of 5 specialized sector teams across the following locations; Beijing, Chongqing, Guangzhou Shanghai, and Taipei.
