Position: Finance Intern – Finance Department, Embassy of Israel in Beijing

Location: Embassy of Israel, Chaoyang District, Beijing

Internship Period: 6 months, starting from mid- August 2025

Allowance: Insurance, public transportation reimbursement, internship certificate

 

About the Organization:

The Ministry of Finance’s mission to the Asian region operates as part of the Israeli Embassy in Beijing and promotes bilateral and multilateral cooperation on a wide range of topics, including economics, finance, banking, and capital markets. Its objectives include fostering government-to-government cooperation, facilitating private sector collaboration, engaging with international organizations and foreign missions, attracting investment, and enhancing the participation of Asian companies in diverse projects in Israel, such as infrastructure and procurement.

 

The department also represents Israel on the Board of Directors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).

 

As a founding member of the AIIB, Israel holds a seat on the Bank’s Board of Directors through a shared constituency. The department is involved in reviewing and voting on project proposals, participating in strategic discussions on the Bank’s policies, and engaging with AIIB senior management and fellow board members on topics such as climate finance, infrastructure development, and regional cooperation. The workload includes regular analysis of board documents, participation in board meetings and consultations, and more.
About the Internship:
We are looking for a motivated intern who is eager to learn and expand their knowledge and expertise in economics, finance, and regional development. This position offers the opportunity to interact and work closely with financial institutions and economic entities, including multilateral development banks, diplomatic missions, government ministries, commercial banks, consultancy firms, and other major financial institutions in China and the broader Asian region.

 

Requirements:

· Ability to commit to a 6-month internship starting in mid-August 2025

· Availability for at least 20 hours per week

· Proficiency in English, Japanese, Chinese, or other languages as preferred.

· Strong knowledge of Asian economies

· Solid analytical and research skills

· Ability to quickly grasp and analyze complex information

· Strong communication skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

· Ability to perform administrative tasks and other duties as needed

 

Key responsibilities:

· Conduct market research on Asian economies

· Analyze AIIB projects and strategies

· Assist in preparing background materials for bilateral projects

· Collect data and information for reports

· Support translation and cross-cultural communication efforts

核心职责：

1. 协助撰写亚洲区域经济经济研究分析报告

2. 分析亚投行项目及战略规划

3. 协助筹备双边合作会谈背景材料

4. 收集数据信息并撰写报告

5. 承担笔译及跨文化沟通工作
