Immigration Officers - Beijing
Do you want to become a part of Immigration New Zealand’s fastest growing market? Immigration New Zealand (INZ) Beijing Office is expanding its presence in Beijing and is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Immigration Officers, who will operate with the highest level of integrity, have energy and determination to achieve results.
What does this role involve?
Not everyone has the ability to see below the surface of information presented. However with your eye for detail and analytical skills complimented by your natural passion for New Zealand and enthusiasm for making positive changes, an exciting career within Immigration New Zealand could be waiting for you. As an Immigration Officer you will be responsible for processing visa applications, you will be taking the information available to you and using this to make sound decisions as you process visa applications. You will be interpreting immigration legislation, and utilising your proven analysis, judgement and decision making abilities to make quality immigration decisions. You will use your strong writing and information assessment skills to manage a fast paced processing and case focussed workload.
Due to the nature of our market, excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin are highly desirable. The successful candidate will be hired as a locally engaged staff member. You must be eligible to obtain a valid Chinese work visa; this means either being a New Zealand or Chinese citizen.
Skills and experience required:
· The motivation and willingness to make a positive difference as a proactive team member
· Experience in assessing and analysing documentary evidence, including exercising sound judgement
The remuneration range starts from RMB 165,499 per annum. Note: any relocation and/or accommodation costs will be at the successful candidate’s own expense.
