Summary: The U.S. Mission in Guangzhou is seeking one eligible and qualified applicant for the position of Supply Clerk within the Facility Management Office.
The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Supervisory Position: No
Duties: The Facility (FAC) Supply Clerk works under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for the acquisition, storage, inventory control and issuance of building maintenance supplies, repair parts and materials for the Facility Management Section.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Education: High School diploma is required.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience in supply/warehousing/expendables or property management is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Thorough knowledge of parts, materials, tools and equipment used in the different trades, to include building materials and their characteristics. Must also have good knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Facility Maintenance operations and procedures. Expert knowledge of warehousing, supply and storekeeping practices. Good knowledge of Safety Program safety guidelines. Must have a good understanding and knowledge of the operational environment in order to make recommendations on local vendors.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: English level III (Good working knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required. (This may be tested.)
Mandarin level III (Good working knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have strong organizational skills. Must have basic computer skills in MS-Office and data entry. Must have a valid, current driver license. Must have had a valid driver’s license for minimum of 5 years. Must be able to lift a maximum of 51lbs. 23kg) under OSHA standards.
Qualifications: All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security certifications.
