l Job Title: Marketing Officer/ Marketing Manager

l Organisation: Tourism Malaysia Office, Embassy of Malaysia in Beijing

l Job Status: contract basis, for 2 years

l Salary Scale: RMB 13,282 /month

l Job Description：

1) To establish and maintain contacts with the travel trade and media with the objective of promoting travel and enhancing positive publicity on Malaysia;

2) To disseminate information to travel agents, tour operators, airlines, local and foreign media, clubs, associations etc. to generate greater awareness and interest on Malaysia tourism products and attractions.

3) To monitor current trend and development in the local market which may affect travel to Malaysia.

4) To plan and organize meetings, seminars, workshops and briefing sessions for travel agents, tour operators, airlines, the mass media including TV and other interested parties for the purpose of publicizing and promoting travel to Malaysia.

5) To recommend effective promotional campaign in order to increase arrivals to Malaysia.

6) To plan, implement and co-ordinate Malaysia’s tourism promotional activities including sales mission, food and cultural promotion, travel exhibitions, fairs etc.

7) To recommend and assist important journalists, travel writers, travel agents, tour operators and others for educational/familiarization tours to Malaysia.

8) To plan, write, produce marketing article to be published in the print and electronic media including social media postings.

9) To assist the travel trade in the market area and from Malaysia, the press and other interested organizations in their promotional and publicity campaigns on Malaysia.

10) To source new and potential tour operators to package tours to Malaysia.

11) To maintain and develop contacts with incentive organizers with the view to encourage more incentive trips to Malaysia.

12) To prepare and submit monthly, annual and other ad hoc reports.

13) To undertake any other duties and responsibilities related to tourism as may be assigned by the Home Based Officer/Embassy/High Commission.

 

l Qualifications:

1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields

2. Proficient in both English and Mandarin (Spoken, written and reading)

3. Minimum 5 years in tourism marketing
