Summary:

The U.S. Mission in Guangzhou is seeking one eligible and qualified applicant for the position of Public Engagement Assistant within the Public Affairs Section.

Work Schedule:                              Full Time (40 hours per week)

Duties:

The Experiential Learning Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Public Engagement Specialist in the Public Affairs Section of U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou.  The position has no supervisory responsibilities.  Coordinates Consulate Public Diplomacy (PD) outreach to Emerging Voices (EV) audiences through Experiential Learning (EXPL) projects and events, typically “learning through experience” activities such as tech or entrepreneurship camps, music and sports programs, journalism training, and other focused community engagement programs.  Designs, develops, and identifies co-sponsors and funding sources, plans, and oversees a range of outreach activities in support of Mission goals.

Qualifications:
