Notice on Matters concerning the Hiring of Chinese Citizens by Foreign News Agencies in China

　

　　The Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China presents its compliments to all permanent offices of foreign Media Organizations and foreign journalists　in China (here in after referred to as foreign news agencies) and has the honor to inform the latter of the relevant matters concerning the hiring of Chinese citizens in China:

　　

　　1.　　 In accordance with the Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on News Coverage by Resident Foreign News Agencies and Foreign Journalists, the Personnel Service Corporation for Diplomatic Missions affiliated with the Beijing Service Bureau for Diplomatic Missions is hereby designated for matters concerning the hiring of Chinese citizens by foreign news agencies in Beijing to do auxiliary work. Please contact the afore-mentioned corporation for procedures in detail (Tel: 64662162, 64663036; Fax: 64662165).

　　2.　　 Matters concerning such hiring by foreign news agencies in other areas outside Beijing shall be handled by the foreign service units designated by the foreign affairs offices of provincial governments. Please be referred to the authorities concerned for inquiries.
